COVID Updates

MINERAL SPRINGS SCHOOL DISTRICT

COVID NUMBERS AS OF JANUARY 19, 2022

As we are all aware, the Omicron varient of the COVID-19 Virus is spreading rapidly around our area. Symptoms include: sore throat, cough and headache as the main ones, but those could also be accompanied by fever, body aches, and other symptoms. If you or your child feel sick at any time, or if you are exposed to someone you know has tested positive for covid, please go get tested yourself. If you are having trouble getting tested please call the school and we will help you. If your child shows any signs of being sick, we ask that you keep them home and get them tested. So far, we have been very fortunate in that all of our students, parents, staff, and community have worked very hard to carry out mitigating strategies such as extra hand washing, disinfecting surfaces, wearing masks, and keeping appropriate distances (6ft). As a result, we are not seeing our numbers increase as much as our neighbors.

If you have ANY questions or concerns about COVID or what protocol you should follow, if you or your child tests positive, or if you are exposed to the virus in any way, PLEASE CALL our point of contact for our district, Wendy Reed. She is available at ANY time, including after hours to take your calls. Her cell phone number is 870-557-4581.

Thank you for you patience and understanding as we navigate through these trying times together.
